Fat Freddy’s Drop

Fat Freddy’s Drop played Alcatraz in Milan on 30 September 2026, on a tour that carried more weight than most. It was the band’s first since the sudden death of founding member Chris “MU” Faiumu, and they chose to go ahead with the plans they had made together. The shows mark 21 years since their debut album, Based On A True Story, and the Wellington band brought their soul, dub and reggae to Milan with that history in the room. These are the photographs from that night.
